A Super Bloom is an outbreak of wild flowers that is out of the ordinary; they tent to occur about once in a decade on average in California, but the last one in 2019 was the second super bloom in 3 years!! (previous one was in 2917) The abundant rain and mountain snow were responsible for 2019 super bloom that inspired this piece of art, it was so massive that satellites orbiting the Earth capture images of that event.
